About the event
In 2023, artist Ben Woodhams, set himself the ambitious goal of walking Bornholm - his home in the Baltic Sea, recording his meanderings through painting. Regardless of the weather, Ben set out every Friday just before the sun fully awoke, paintbrushes and sketchbooks in hand, to record forests, fields and paths, capturing changes in light, atmosphere, season and landscape. The resultant body of artwork is an incredible testimony to Ben’s commitment to creating work outside, examining the creative connection wrought through close looking and the natural world. Trymwood Studios are delighted to play host to some of this exciting project as well as Ben Woodhams himself over from Bornholm to talk to us about LAND.
