About
Trymwood Studios are delighted to invite you to join us at the inspiring Bristol Zoo Project for a special one-day drawing workshop with Wynona Legg. A unique opportunity, Wynona will introduce you to the African animals at the Project and offer expert tuition as you seek to learn more about drawing live animals. The price of this workshop includes entry to Bristol Zoo Project at a discounted rate. Location: The Bristol Zoo Project is a very special 136-acre area focused on global conservation and inspirational wildlife education. Located just off Junction 17 of the M5 motorway, the Project cares for a vast array of African animals, from giraffes, zebras and cheetahs to weaverbirds and lemurs. This workshop offers a fantastic opportunity to experience this incredible project and get to know the wonderful creatures that live there through drawing. The workshop will go ahead in all weather conditions unless Trymwood Studios believes it to be necessary for your wellbeing and safety to postpone. It is greatly advisable that participants bring warm layers of clothing and wet weather gear. The Zoo Project boasts numerous covered spaces where we can draw if preferred, including the giraffe house which is a particular favourite of the team! The Project has numerous toilet facilities, and hot and cold drinks, pizzas and other snacks are available from their food outlets. Parking is available and free of charge to visitors. Do I need to be an experienced artist? This workshop is designed for all creative abilities. We welcome complete beginners to those more experienced. Come and have a go! Your tutor: Wynona Legg is the perfect tutor to take to the zoo! Loving nothing more than being outside, observing wildlife and working to capture the essence of moving creatures in drawing, Wynona has devoted her artistic career to understanding the natural world around her and communicating its curious wonder in beautiful artworks. Wynona will introduce you to the Bristol Zoo Project, its precious residents and encourage you to begin to understand the creatures you encounter through looking closely and responding creatively.
