This one-day workshop will provide you with an unhurried opportunity to delight in the natural world, engage with our many drawing materials and receive expert guidance from Nik as he encourages you to look closely and respond, using graphite, charcoal, ink, pencil and more! Workshop numbers are small so that Nik can respond to individual work, giving expert tuition where needed and helping you to build confidence in your own work. LOCATION: This one day workshop will be held in our Art Marquee set in the beautiful Trymwood garden in Westbury on Trym, Bristol. DO I NEED TO BE AN EXPERIENCED ARTIST? Whether you are a complete beginner or want to improve your skills, you are very welcome to join us for this exciting workshop. WHAT SHOULD I BRING? All materials and equipment will be provided. Please wear clothes appropriate for making art. Please bring a packed lunch. Hot and cold drinks will be provided. YOUR TUTOR: Nik Pollard is an English artist based in Bristol, UK. His work is generated from sustained, direct observation with paintings and drawings often resolved in the field. A period of dedicated study at single or related locations is a necessary part of his process. Drawing from all the senses, he investigates the rhythms and characteristics of a location and its ecology, resulting in a sense of time and place. Working with a range of mediums, he focuses on the essential aspects of what it is that has drawn him to the subject.

Cancellation Policy
Our venue holds limited seating, and many of our Events/Classes sell out. For this reason, we request that you cancel at least 14 days before the scheduled Event/Class. This will allow us to offer your spot to another Student/Customer. Please email info@trymwoodstudios.co.uk if you wish to cancel. Please note, we unable to offer full refunds. However, if you give us at least 14 days notice of your need to cancel, we will credit your payment toward another Event/Class. However, if you do not cancel with at least 14 days notice, you will lose any payments you have already made.
