Exploring working with Ink - Workshop

Join us at Trymwood Studios for a workshop dedicated to exploring the delights of working with ink. With expert tuition from Nik Pollard, you will be encouraged to be creative with a range of inks, using brushes, pens, and even homemade drawing tools. Nik will bring his experience and love of working with ink to this workshop, providing engaging demonstrations and individual encouragement and tuition where needed. You will be introduced to different ways of using this versatile and expressive medium. LOCATION: This one day workshop will be held in our beautiful gallery in Westbury on Trym, Bristol. Please bring a packed lunch. Hot and cold drinks will be provided. DO I NEED TO BE ANDN EXPERIENCED ARTIST? This workshop is open to complete beginners and improvers. WHAT SHOULD I BRING? All materials and equipment will be provided. Please wear clothes appropriate for making art. TUTOR: Nik Pollard is an English artist based in Bristol, UK. His work is generated from sustained, direct observation with paintings and drawings often resolved in the field. A period of dedicated study at single or related locations is a necessary part of his process. Drawing from all the senses, he investigates the rhythms and characteristics of a location and its ecology, resulting in a sense of time and place. Working with a range of mediums, he focuses on the essential aspects of what it is that has drawn him to the subject.
